Vintage Doberenier-style lamp, also known as a lighter machine, composed of red glass with a metal lid. Design originally produced in the early 1800s, for lighting purposes before the invention of matches.
Height: 7 1/2 in x diameter: 6 in.
Condition: There are several large repaired cracks and small losses to the body of the lamp. To the lid, there is some tarnishing and verdigris patination. A partial lightbulb remains along the interior of the lid. Light dust accumulated. Not tested for functionality.
