Kada and Akemi Kimura (Japanese, 20th century). Group of three studio ceramic pottery beer cans, 1985. Incised signature along the lower edges. Produced at the Tanegashima Chamber at the Takigama Kiln at St. John’s University, Minnesota. Master potter Kada Kimura and Akemi Kimura had a one year residency at St. John’s University where they produced a number of these studio pottery beer cans, which were left at bus stops throughout the city.
