The original painting was commissioned by the Glidden paint Company circa 1930. Lithograph possibly by David Charleston – piece has been trimmed so no marks are visible.
The image appeared in a Glidden newspaper ad campaign. This unpublished lithograph has a special presentation mounting with a hand-drawn partial image of a Chinese dragon. It is accompanied by a copy of the newspaper image of the Glidden ad and a page from a promotional booklet produced by an advertising firm.
Framed: 17"H x 21"W.
Condition: Minor general wear. Glued to backing. Signature cut off. Not inspected out of the frame.
