Japanese Satsuma porcelain vase, ca. Meiji period. Depicting birds on a flowering branch. With a four-character iron red mark along the underside.
Height: 11 1/2 in x diameter: 6 1/2 in.
Condition: There are no large cracks. There are losses to the gilt and enamel throughout. Some scratches, scuffs, and residual tape accretions. There is a hardened piece of porcelain along the interior, likely incurred during the firing process. Dust gathered throughout.
