Group of six South Dakota art pottery vases, ca. 1930s. Including:
One goblet or chalice-form vessel depicting stepped triangular motifs in relief along the cup. Incised "High Elk."
Three vases of globular form with elongated necks. Depicting various incised motifs. One marked "Pine Ridge Sioux Indian, Fire Thunder, " one marked "Pine Ridge Sioux Indian, Wounded Knee Ramona, " and one "Pine Ridge Sioux Indian, Woody."
One squat vase, marked "Al Black Tail Deer, " Rapid City, S.D., " and "Wheel Thrown Sioux Pottery."
One magenta and turquoise glazed vase marked "Pine Ridge Sioux Indian, O. Cottier."
Height ranges from 3 3/4 in to 8 in; diameter ranges from 3 3/4 in to 6 1/4 in.
Condition: General wear including some small chips. To the smallest vase, there is a small firing flaw along the rim resembling a small crack. Light wear to the footrims.
