Marcello Fantoni (Italian, 1915-2011). Set of two mid-century ceramic table lamps, each with a cartouche depicting a figure in profile. Both signed along the lower right of the portrait cartouche; the lamp depicting a female numbered 51, the lamp portraying a male numbered 48.
(Lamps w/ Shades, Each) Height: 28 in x width: 16 in x depth: 16 in.
Condition: Both lamps have been tested and appear functional; however, they have not been tested for prolonged use. Some wear to each including tarnishing to the metal components. To the lamp numbered 51, there is a loss measuring approximately 1/2 in diameter along the lower left of the cartouche. To the lamp numbered 48, there is a small loss along the upper right of the cartouche. There are further small chips, scuffs or scratches, some accretions, and wear to the footrims of each lamp, especially along lamp 48.
