Victor Arnautoff (Russian/American, 1896-1979). Group of six landscape prints. Including one titled "Stanislaus River, " one titled "Lone Oak, " one titled "By the Water, " one titled "Luminous Day, " one untitled print depicting a forested landscape scene, and two prints depicting a red house along the mountainside. Each of the prints are pencil signed and editioned along the lower margin; further, three prints are pencil titled along the lower margin.
Provenance: By repute, purchased from the estate of the artist’s son.
(Sheet) Height ranges from 12 1/2 in to 15 3/4 in; width ranges from 18 1.4 in to 20 1/4 in.
Condition: To one of the prints, there is a tear along the upper edge that extends downward approximately 2 inches. To the remaining prints, there are no major tears. To four of the prints, there are small, geometric cut-out areas along the left and right margins. Scattered creases, handling marks, and areas of foxing. One print with two partial, residual hinges visible along the upper edge. Two of the prints are housed under a mat. Wear along the extreme edges. The works are not framed.
