The skull of a hartebeest, also known as kongoni or kaama, which is an African antelope. There is a faded ink inscription along the surface of the skull. No lower jawbone.
(Overall) Height: 10 1/4 in x length: 27 1/2 in x width: 12 in. (Horns, each) Length: Approx. 16 in.
Condition: The skull appear to be coated in a glossy resin; it is difficult to discern whether there are repairs. There are chips and losses along the underside of the skull. There is a break to one of the teeth; a few teeth with fleabite to small-sized chips along the extreme edges. Fleabite to small-sized chips along the tips of the horns. Dust gathered along recessed areas.
