Group of four duiker skulls with horns; no lower jawbones. Duikers are small to medium-sized brown antelopes that are native to sub-Saharan Africa, found typically in heavily wooded areas. One skull with an ink inscription, reading, "Grey Duiker 1983."
Height ranges from 3 1/4 in to 5 1/2 in; length ranges from 5 1/2 in to 9 in; width ranges from 3 in to 3 1/4 in.
Condition: To the majority of the skulls, there are no major breaks or losses. To one of the skulls, there are significant losses along the maxilla, or upper jaw bone, of the skull. To each of the skulls, there are small, scattered chips and losses, particularly to the teeth and along the extreme edges of the skeletal elements. A few of the horn sheaths are able to be separated from the skulls. One skull lacks horn sheaths. All skulls lack a mandible or lower jaw bone. Dust throughout, particularly gathered along recessed areas.
