N. Clark & Co. Pottery, Lyons, New York. Antique three-gallon American salt-glazed stoneware ceramic jug depicting a cobalt blue glazed foliate motif with the number "3", 19th century. Of an ovoid form with applied loop handle. Impressed "N. Clark & Co." and "Lyons" along the shoulder.

Condition: General wear throughout including some chips and small losses throughout. Large loss measuring approximately 1 1/2 inches along the footrim; there is a second, medium-sized loss along the upper rim. Some areas along the shoulder that fluoresce under UV light, indicating restoration.
