Vintage Rookwood Art Pottery ceramic vase and flower frog, ca. early 20th century. The bowl-form vase with recessed or "rolled-lip" rim and mottled olive green and brown matte glaze; numbered 2228, impressed "P" to indicate "soft porcelain, " incised "X, " and dated "XVIII" or 1918 along the underside. The flower frog with incised floral or star motif and similar mottled matte glazing; numbered 1621C and dated "XX" or 1920 along the underside. Stamped Rookwood maker’s mark along the underside of both objects.

Condition: Wear throughout consistent with age and use. There are several chips to the glaze and firing flaws along the underside of the vase.
