Green painted cast iron alligator match holder with hinged lid. Each leg has the name of a city connected by the Monon Route railroad line – Atlanta, Louisville, Indianapolis, and Cincinati. This particular one is branded on the bottom with the words "JAS Barker – Genl Passenger Agent". Barker was a passenger agent associated with the Monon Route in the midwest U.S. in the late 19th C.
