World’s Fair mechanical bank, cast iron, by J&E Stevens, 1893. Works well!
Bank in the form of Columbus and Native American. When lever is pressed, Native American pops up, holding out a pipe.
6.5"H x 8"W x 3"D.
Condition: Appears to work well mechanically in tests – when lever is pressed Columbus’s arm raises, the Native American figure pops up, and the coin rolls down into the bank. Patina and paint loss throughout. Small felt pads attached to bottom of bank.
