2 1/2 meat cleaver from Foster Bros with patent date March 1895. Blade has circle cut-out at the top and a teardrop cut-out in center. Marked on one side "Foster Bros", below is a pictorial arrow, and below that, "Pat’d Mar 1895, 2 1/2".
13 3/4"L x 4 1/2"W.
Condition: Heavy tarnishing to the blade. Fading to the finish on the handle. Repair made on the handle.
