Cast iron and pigment "Trick Pony" mechanical coin bank, ca. 19th-20th century. Possibly a reproduction of a Shepard Hardware cast-iron bank model.
Height: 6 1/2 in x width: 7 in x depth: 2 1/2 in.
Condition: General wear. Some losses to the pigment and oxidation throughout. When the lever is pulled, the trough opens, but the pony’s head does not move in tandem with the opening of the hatch. Felt tabs along the underside.
