1947 Spanish version of Washington Irving’s "Tales of Alhambra (Cuentos de la Alhambra), translated by Jose Mendez Herrera, published in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Jose Mendez Herrera’s translation is widely considered to be one of the most faithful, complete, and outstanding translations in Spanish, often including Irving’s prologue and notes. This version is renowned for its exquisite capture of the sensibility and atmosphere of the legends of Granada.

Condition: Wear commensurate with age and use. There are light creases along the upper right corners of the pages. The pages are toned. Small, scattered areas of foxing. There are a few penned inscriptions in Spanish scattered throughout the book. Some wear to the spine and covers.
