Painted cast-iron doorstop depicting the character, "Mr. Toad, ” from 1908 Kenneth Grahame authored book, "The Wind in the Willows." Marked "LAP" along the footrim.
Height: 12 1/2 in x width: 6 1/2 in x depth: 3 1/2 in.
Condition: There are light signs of wear and networks of small to moderately sized losses to the pigment, particularly along the upper arms and the apex of the toad’s head. There are some small areas of oxidation. There is green felt affixed to the underside.
