Group of five Chinese ink on silk-backed paper scroll paintings depicting mountainous or forested landscapes. One painting depicting a portrait of two figures.
Length ranges from 48 in to 79 in; width ranges from 18 3/4 in to 26 1/2 in.
Condition: Some deep creases and handling marks throughout. Undulation consistent with being rolled. There are several small losses to the paintings, especially along the lower quadrant of the second largest painting. There are scattered areas of soiling and moisture exposure to the paintings, but especially to the versos of the scrolls. The scrolls are toned. Some wear along the extreme edges including small tears, handling marks, and frits to the backings. Some tears and signs of wear along the extreme upper and lower edges, where the scrolls wrap around the rods.
