Late 19th century antique French or Swiss cylinder music box with decorative wooden case. Metal hardware along the right interior reads "Change, " "Repeat (Repete), " "Stop (Arret), " and "Play (Joue)." Features a secondary interior glass lid protecting the mechanism from dust and allowing the music box to be watched while playing.
Height: 5 in x width: 12 1/4 in x depth: 7 in.
Condition: There are no obvious, major breaks or losses. Some tarnishing to the metal components. Some separation to the joints. The lid appears slightly warped; there is a small gap, primarily along the left side, where the lid meets to the lower portion of the box. Scuffs, scratches, accretions, and small losses to the wooden box. Losses to the pigment along the lid. Key not included.
