M. Lewis Croissant (1900-1989). Handpainted and carved modernist totem pole. Painted in gray with vibrant yellow, red, gree, and blue. With motifs of birds surmouted by a bird’s nest. Croissant was a Vietnam veteren, engineer, and oil painter specializing in fantasy, adventure, and space travel. His works have been described as "fancy fantasy."
Croissant’s paintings have been exhibited at many venues including the Isaac Delgado Museum of Art, the Art Association of New Orleans, the Springfield Museum of Art in Massachusetts, among others.

Condition: There are no breaks or repairs. Minute losses to the paint layer throughout as expected with a handmade object.
