Robin Anderson (Kenyan, 1924-2012). Batik technique on silk painting depicting a herd of girraffes against an abstract green ground. The batik on silk technique was developed by the artist and combines oils, watercolor, and screen printing on silk. Signed and editioned "220/300" along the lower right margin.
Sight; height: 30 1/2 in x width: 29 1/2 in. Framed; height: 32 1/2 in x width: 31 1/4 in x depth: 1 3/4 in.
Condition: The colors are bold and bright. There are no visible tears, losses, or shattering to the silk. There are losses to the paper backing along the verso; including evidence of tape adhesive along the verso. Light wear to the frame. Framed under plexiglass. Work not inspected out of frame.
