Group of five canine skulls from animal species belonging to the biological Canidae or Caninae family. Including two black-backed jackal and two dingoes; each with ink inscriptions along the top of the skulls. The remaining skull is possibly from coyote.
Height ranges from 3 in to 4 in; length ranges from 6 1/2 in to 9 in; width ranges from 3 1/2 in to 4 1/2 in.
Condition: To the majority of the skulls, there are no major breaks or losses. To one of the black-backed jackal skulls, there is a break to the left side of the mandible or lower jaw; the break appears to have been repaired at one point, however, has rebroken and is currently separated from the rest of the skull. To some of the skulls, there are chips, losses, and cracks to the teeth. There are small, scattered chips and losses along the extreme edges of the skeletal features. Dust gathered along recessed areas. To each of the skulls, the jaws are hinged shut and tied together with wire or string; the jaws do not open fully or separated from the skull.
