Taxidermied shoulder mount of a South African oryx, also known as a gemsbok. Collected October 11, 1983 in Namibia.
(Oryx) Height: 43 in x width: 41 in x depth: 29 in. (Horns, each) Length: 35 1/2 in.
Condition: Wear commensurate with age and material. There is wear to the fur, including scattered losses where the hide underneath is visible. Moderate loss along the base of the left horn. Wear along the extreme edges, including small chips and losses, particularly along the ears.
