Antique and large spun brass sugar kettle, cauldron, or apple butter pot with cast-iron stand, mid-19th century. With partial impressed mark along the underside, indicating manufacture by H.W. Hayden.

Condition: There are several vertical cracks and areas of corrosion forming throughout the pot. There are some repaired cracks. There are minute areas of verdigris patination along two of the repairs. One handle lacking the copper element at the base of the handle. Some dents throughout. Wear commensurate with age and use. Accretions along the interior. Light tarnishing to the stand. Wear and several large bends to the stand.
