Maigonis "Mike" Daga (Latvian, 1923-2001). Group of eight ceramic animal figurines and one vase. Including two cats, one deer or fawn, one duck, one whale, one figurine with two polar bears, one black bear, one gazelle, and one rounded vase with an elongated neck. Each signed along the underside.
(Animal figurines) Height ranges from 3 1/2 in to 6 3/4 in; width ranges from 2 3/4 in to 9 1/4 in; depth ranges from 1 1/4 in to 5 1/2 in. (Vase) Height: 7 1/2 in x diameter: 5 1/4 in.
Condition: No cracks or losses. To a few of the figurines, there are fleabite chips, primarily along high points, noticeable upon close inspection. The polar break figurine has possibly been reaffixed to the base; there is a small area of residual glue visible. Light wear to the bases.
