Chinese Blanc de Chine export porcelain Guanyin figure, 20th century. Depicting Guanyin, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, standing with a serene facial expression wearing elegantly draped robes and a beaded necklace across her chest.
Height: 30 in x width: 10 3/4 in x depth: 7 in.
Condition: There is a complete loss to the figure’s right hand beginning at the wrist. There are a few small chips along the extreme edges of the figures robe. There is evidence of restoration that fluoresces under UV light along the verso; specifically along the two large hair line cracks extending from the base upwards towards the figure’s robes. Accretions gathered along the surface. Light wear along the base, including some small cracks and minute chips.
