Papua New Guinea Sepik River region carved wood mask with pigment, applied hair, and Cowrie shells.
Height: 9 in x width: 5 1/4 in x depth: 7 in.
Condition: Wear, consistent with age and material. There are small chips and areas of rubbing to the pigment along high points. Some fraying to the hair and earrings. Oxidation to the nails. There are boreholes along the ears as well as the apex of the head.
