Extremely rare 6 lb. cannonball used by the Confederacy at the Battle of Gettysburg near Plum Run by Ray Kline. Only one 6 lb. cannon was used at Gettysburg so this is a very rare find. Item includes custom display stand and written provenance and other information about the item. Formerly part of the George Olinger collection and the Rosensteel/Eckert family collection. Item has been treated with electrolysis to remove debris in an effort to preserve it’s condition.
Cannonball: approximately 3.5".
Condition: Wear throughout consistent with historical item including pitting and other general wear. Provenance states it has been treated with electrolysis.
