Collection of rare recovered bullets found in the vicinity of the American Civil War Battle of Gettysburg. The Battle of Gettysburg took place in and around Gettysburg, Pennsylvania from July 1 to July 3, 1863.

Each item in this collection has provenance information that may include who found the relic, the location it was found, when the item was found, and other interesting facts about the item. Most statements include a photo of the item to which it pertains.

In order from left to right, top to bottom, the collection consists of:

– Fired .69 caliber bullet found near McAllister’s Mill. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– Pulled/misfired Gardner bullet found near McAllister’s Mill. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– Fired Confederate Gardner bullets found in valley between Little Round Top and Big Round Top. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– High velocity impact fired bullet found on Little round Top. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– Fired bullet with ram rod mark found on Little Round Top. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– High velocity impact fired bullet found on Little round Top. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– Rear impact fired bullet found on Little Round Top. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– Fired Swage bullet found at the top of Devil’s Den. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.

– Fired Type I Williams Cleaner bullet found between devil’s Den and Big Round Top. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– Mushroom fired bullt found on the Trostle Farm. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– High velocity rear impact bullet found on the Trostle Farm. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– Fired bullet found on the Trostle Farm. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– Partially mushroomed fird bullet found in wooded area between the Wheatfield and the Loop. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– Fired Enfield bullet found between Willoughby Run and Country Club Lane. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– .58 caliber bullet (and brass relic, included, but not in display case) found by Ellwood Cullison in the Valley of Death at Gettysburg. Formerly part of the Rosensteel Collection of Gettysburg.
– 4 bullets found by Andrew Keyser south of Hagerstown, Maryland on a ridge where the Army of Northern Virginia held a defensive line during the retreat from Gettysburg.

Items are housed in a wood and glass display case with plaque.

Condition: Items were found or excavated from historic sites. Wear consistent with nature of the relics.
