Collection of rare recovered relics found in the vicinity of the American Civil War Battle of Gettysburg. The Battle of Gettysburg took place in and around Gettysburg, Pennsylvania from July 1 to July 3, 1863.

Each item in this collection has provenance information that may include who found the relic, the location it was found, when the item was found, and other interesting facts about the item. Most statements include a photo of the item to which it pertains.

In order from left to right, top to bottom, the collection consists of:

– Artillery shell nose fragment found between Herr’s Ridge Road and Country Club Road. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– Irregular case shot found on Little Round Top. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– Artillery shell fragment found on Rummel Farm on the East Cavalry Field.
– Schenkl artillery shell fragment found on Culp’s Hill. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– Eagle "I" vest button found on Little Round Top. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– Confederate lead "side-loader" plug found by John Cullison in the area of Pickett’s Charge and passed from him to the Rosensteel Collection.
– Brass section of Hotchkiss time fuse found by John Cullison in the area of Pickett’s Charge and passed from him to the Rosensteel Collection.
– Gettysburg bullet found by Andrew Keyser
– Zinc Parrot Fuse Plug found by John Cullison in the area of Pickett’s Charge. Formerly part of the Rosensteel Collection.
– Soldier carved .54 caliber bullet found between Devil’s Den and Big Round Top. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– Fire bullet with ram rod impression found between Devil’s Den and Big Round Top. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– Fired bullet with possoble evidence of soft tissue impact found on Little Round Top. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.

– Fired and mushroomed Type I William’s Cleaner bullet found between Herr’s Ridge Road and Country Club Road. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– High velocity impact fired bullet found at the top of Devil’s Den. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– Large roller buckle found in the area between Devil’s Den and Big Round Top. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– Artillery shell fragment found on Little Round Top. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– US Enlistedman’s Eagle jacket button found in Wheatfield, east of the stone wall by John Cullison and later passed to the Rosensteel Collection.
– Slider from Hotchkiss percussion fuse found by John Cullison in the area of Pickett’s Charge. Formerly part of the Rosensteel Collection.
– .54 caliber Gardner bullet found between the Wheatfield and the Loop. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– High velocity impact fired bullet found on the Trostle Farm. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– .69 caliber musket wiper found in an unrecorded location by Ken Bream.
– US .58 Minie Ball found in the Wheatfield by John Cullison and later passed to the Rosensteel Collection.
– Brass musket sling hook found by Ken Bream in an unrecorded location of the Gettysburg Battlefield.
– 2 dropped Confederate .58 Gardner bullets from the Shields Museum Collection recovered on the First Days Battlefield.
– Pulled/misfired Swage bullet found between the Wheatfield and the Loop. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
– Artillery shell fragment found by Andrew Keyser on the East Cavalry Field at Gettysburg
– 2 brass grommets found between Devil’s Den and Big Round Top. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.

– Buckle found south of Hagerstown, Maryland on a ridge the Northern Army of Virginia held as a defensive position during their retreat from Gettysburg.
– Mushroomed fired bullet found near Devil’s Den. Formerly part of the Iva Rosensteel Collection.
