John Conrad Berkey (American, 1932-2008). Group of four acrylic or gouache on board paintings depicting World War II airplanes. Each annotated noting the plane along the lower left including: P-38 Lightning, B-24 Liberator, Curtiss P-40, and Navy F4F Wildcats & B25s. Each additionally inscribed "Playing Card" along the upper margin.
Berkey is perhaps most well-known for his science fiction works including much of the original poster art for the original Star Wars trilogy.
