Victor Arnautoff (Russian/American, 1896-1979). Group of four artworks. Including one portrait print of a young man, signed in plate along the lower right, two drawings of an older woman, possibly composed pastel, each initialed along the lower left, and one ink drawing depicting two men.
Provenance: By repute, purchased from the estate of the artist’s son.
Height ranges from 17 1/2 in to 25 in; width ranges from 12 in to 19 in.
Condition: To the ink drawing of two men, threre are tears and losses along the extreme edges. There are small losses along each of the corners, including pinholes along the lower corners. To the print of a young man, there is undulation to the sheet consistent with having been rolled; the left and ride sides curl upwards. Scattered creases, handling marks, and areas of foxing. Wear along the extreme edges. The works are not framed.
