Robin Anderson (Kenyan, 1924-2012). Batik technique on silk painting depicting a herd of zebras and grouping of trees against a rusty colored ground. The batik on silk technique was developed by the artist and combines oils, watercolor, and screen printing on silk. Signed and editioned "81/100" along the lower right margin.
Sight; height: 29 1/2 in x width: 30 1/2 in. Framed; height: 31 1/2 in x width: 32 in x depth: 1 3/4 in.
Condition: The colors are bold and bright. There are no visible tears, losses, or shattering to the silk. There are losses to the paper backing along the verso. Light wear to the frame. Framed under plexiglass. Dust and debris gathered along the surface of the frame. Work not inspected out of frame.
