Chinese embroidered silk double gourd form propitious perfume pouch or scent purse, Qing dynasty. With perimeter of alternating white and blue hues; the red ground embroidered with floral forms along the lower lobe and butterflies. Flanked by endless knot draw ropes.
Height: 6 in x width: 3 1/2 in x depth: 1/4 in.
Condition: Shattering to the silk, including a large area, resulting in a tear along the upper lobe. The tassels are somewhat fragile.
