Uzbek, Tekke, or Turkoman embroidered women’s jacket or chrypy (robe), late 19th to early 20th. The garment with colorful silk embroidery depicting hooked ram’s horns symbols, geometric forms, and linear motifs on black ground. With quilted floral patterned cotton lining.
Shoulder-to-shoulder: 22 in x chest: 25 in x full length: 45 in.
Condition: No major tears, losses, or stains. There is a small area along the back of the right sleeve where the stitching has come undone. No odors.
