Group of five Chinese ink and watercolor on silk-backed scroll paintings. Four depicting equestrian beings and subject matter; the fifth painting depicting a camel.
Length ranges from 29 1/2 in to 68 1/2 in; width ranges from 15 1/2 in to 19 3/4 in.
Condition: There are deep horizontal creases to the painting depict a brown horse as well as the smaller horse painting. There are scattered small areas of soiling to the three larger paintings, as well as the versos of each; there are large areas of moisture exposure along the center third of the larger, starkly white and black horse painting. The three larger scrolls are toned. Some wear along the extreme edges including small tears, handling marks, and frits to the backings. Undulation consistent with being rolled. Some tears and signs of wear along the extreme upper and lower edges, where the scrolls wrap around the rods.
