Pair of Japanese porcelain lidded baluster vases depicting white prunus plum or cherry blossom motifs on black ground. One vase with a paper label affixed along the underside; numbered 662 along the label.
(Each) Height: 15 in x diameter 8 in.
Condition: To each of the vases, there is a crack along the underside; the crack extends along the diameter of the underside approximately six inches in length. To each, there are two hairline cracks along the rim; one corresponds to a minute loss. Fleabite to small-sized chips along the footrims. To each of the lids, there is a loss to the finials. To each lid, there are small to moderate cracks and losses. Wear to the circular openings along the top of each lid, including accretions and light scratches. To one of the lids, there is a residual tape affixed along one of the cracks along the underside of the lid. Crazing to the glaze.
