Set of two Mexican folk art "Tlaquepaque" tourist pottery dishes, including an oval serving plate and divided luncheon tray, ca. 1930s-1940s. Both depicting pastoral scenes of campesino figures, cactus, and agave against a rich blue slip ground. The tray impressed "Mexico" along the underside.
(Round plate) Height: 1 in x diameter: 11 in. (Oblong plate) Height: 1 1/2 in x length: 11 in x width 7 1/2 in.
Condition: There are no major cracks, losses, or repairs. Small scratches and scuffs, crazing throughout. A few small spots where glaze and pigment has flaked off.
