Kaoru Kawano (Japanese, 1916–1965). Woodblock print on paper titled "Tree Girl with Woodpeckers." Depicting a young girl whose form is integrated into a silver colored tree. Featuring two woodpeckers with distinctive red caps perched along the "tree" near the girl’s face. With an iron red stamp seal along the lower right quadrant.
Height: 21 1/4 in x width: 15 1/2 in x depth: 3/4 in.
Condition: The colors are bold and deep. There are no visible tears or losses. The sheet is lightly toned. Housed under an acidic mat. Framed under plexiglass. Light wear to the frame. Work not inspected out of frame.
