Collection of 13 rare recovered relics from the American Civil War.

Each item in this collection has provenance information that may include who found the relic, the location it was found, when the item was found, and other interesting facts about the item. Most statements include a photo of the item to which it pertains.

In order from left to right, top to bottom, the collection consists of:
– 2 burnt Spencer bullet cartridges from Wheeler’s Raid found in Marion County, Tennessee along the Sequatchie River near Powell’s Crossroads.
– Eagle infantry button dug in the area of Manassas, Virginia.
– Fired .69 caliber bullet found by James Shaner on property bordering Spain Branch, near Lick Creek, at Shiloh, Tennessee. Found in the area that served as camps for the Union left flank that were overrun during the initial Confederate attack.
– Button with New York state seal button dug in the area of Manassas, Virginia.
– Dropped .58 caliber bullet with prominent mold line recovered by Andrew Keyser on the Eckert Farm at Antietam.
– 5 bullets and 1 buckle recovered by Brian Bemis between January and April 2019 in the area of Culpepper, Virginia.
– Solider manipulated bullet with flattened skirt found at Shiloh in 1974. Formerly part of the collection of William Reger of Berks County, Pennsylvania.

Some items housed in small cases, other bagged, others loose.

Condition: Items were found and/or excavated from sites. Wear consistent with the age and nature of the relics.
